Another Light is the culmination of a seven-year Spirit journey that explores “liminal space” (i.e. threshold moments) between the artist and eleven other participants. This site documents the possibility these portraits carry for any place or community that hosts their presence.

The April 2025 exhibition
Throughout April 2025, the twelve paintings provided the setting for gazing, reflection, meditation, celebration, conversation and dance. Large, intimate portraits were arranged in a sacred circle to concentrate and amplify their relationship, mystery, and healing energy. Each painting was accompanied by a description and a QR code so visitors could listen to subjects reflect on their portrait and their journey. A wide variety of participant-led events throughout the month expanded the circle and brought the public to reflect on their own journeys.

Together these images, words, voices, and events create a space for individual and collective witness, healing, transformation, and transcendence.
